Sometimes in life, when we are faced with an enormous challenge, the hardest part is taking that very first step. Yoga trains us to stay present on that first step, bringing enjoyment from within.

Tribal Yoga™ stands for utilizing the discipline of Yoga as our sacred practice, together we move towards Freedom, exploration and transformation as a community of like minded people coming together in friendship, support and encouragement.  It is an honour for us to be able to take this journey together.

We developed our curriculum over 20 years perfecting our pristine life changing program to facilitate the ultimate life changing experience..

Core components of of our program.

Teaching Asana

  •  

  •         Detailed study of all yoga postures including modifications of postures, appropriate use of props & transitions to and from postures as well as contraindications.

  •         Physical and energetic benefits of postures

  •         Hands on adjustments and teqniques

  •         Learning body alignment principles and how to identify

  •         Class creation: Learn the principles of sequencing and how to create a class theme

  •         Voice and communicating as a teacher. Learn various styles to give clear, simple instructions with appropriate cues for demonstration: As well as fundamentals for teaching beginners

  •         Teaching to special groups such as, beginners, seniors, etc.

  •         Student teacher relationship

  •         Ethics of a yoga teacher

  •         Marketing yourself a Yoga Teacher. workshop building

  • Multiple opportunities to practice teaching will be given. At Yoga BC we create a supportive, nurturing community of teachers to help you apply what you have learned from day 2. You will receive immediate feedback from your teachers to help you refine your teaching skills and feel at ease in front of a class. We will also take this one step further and start mentoring you towards the program. This will include giving you a set flow Yoga BC flow you can use for future or expand from. We are here to support you each step of the way

  • MEDITATION TECHNIQUES TO CALM AND BRING PRESENCE:

  • Daily meditation and journaling is a requirement of our 200 hour yoga Teacher Training. Meditation teaches us to slow the fluctuations of the mind. When this happens, it is yoga, which leads to the true Self. Bringing joy filled Ananda (Bliss) Samadhi.

  • PRANA IS THE LIFE FORCE OR VITAL ENERGY. PRANAYAMA IS THE WAY OF BUILDING OR DIRECTING THIS VITAL ENERGY:

  •  Learn to teach powerful breathing techniques to direct prank, such as ujayi, kapalabhati, nadi sodhana and fire breath

  •  Understanding Bandhas or energy locks that direct your vital life force of prana 

  • ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY :

  •  INCLUDING THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM, LYMPHATIC SYSTEM, RESPIRATORY SYSTEM, DIGESTIVE SYSTEM, ENDOCRINE SYSTEM, NERVOUS SYSTEM, MUSCULO-SKELETAL SYSTEM,  IMMUNE SYSTEM, AND GENITO-URINARY SYSTEM:

  •         Understanding physical effects of yoga on our bodies

  •         Learning how to avoid injuries and working around them

  • LEARN THE ENERGETIC EFFECTS OF YOGA ON THE BODY:

  •         Prana, what it is and techniques that direct prana

  •         Kundalini energy and it’s infinite potential

  •         The Chakra system

  •         The Vayus, Nadis and Koshas

  • STUDY PATANJALI’S YOGA SUTRAS AND HOW THESE TEACHINGS PROVIDE A VERY REAL MODEL THAT CAN BE APPLIED TO DAILY LIFE AS WELL AS YOGA AS A CHRISTIAN:

  •         Study of the Bhagavad Gita

  •         Yoga’s journey to the West and the most influential yogis of our time

  •                 Studying of yoga as a Christian

  • Basic Sattvic nutrition

  • METHODOLOGY:

  •         Learn various methods of teaching from yoga teachers, what works well and what suits your own authentic style

  •                 Authenticity of developing your own teaching method. How to tap into your truth. 

  •  

  • Thoughts, Feelings, mantras and manifestation of desires:

  •         Learn powerful methods for manifesting your desires and using these gifts to share with your students. 

  •                 The search inward, the art of expressing your truth from within. Moving from outer view affecting inner feeling to total expression of the desired wish as fulfilled.

  •                   Study of self renunciated action. The power of co - creating your world around you.

  • Inner Energy Arts

  • Yoga and Christianity:
